We are looking for an Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in PLC programming, SCADA, instrumentation, commissioning, and servicing of membrane systems. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing reliable control systems, integrating field instruments, troubleshooting systems, and supporting projects from engineering through commissioning and after-sales service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop PLC software using Siemens S7-300 and S7-1500 platforms.
- Work on Siemens TIA Portal V15 and above.
- Develop and maintain Siemens WinCC SCADA (V7.5 and above), including scripting for report generation.
- Provide remote technical support to commissioning teams during customer visits.
- Prepare FAT procedures and checklists, conduct FAT, document observations, and close punch points.
- Carry out troubleshooting and servicing of liquid chromatography and membrane systems.
- Work on MF, UF, NF, and RO membrane systems.
- Execute AMC contracts within defined timelines and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Generate enquiries for AMC and spare parts for chromatography and membrane systems as per targets.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety norms and procedures.
- Support system commissioning, troubleshooting, and after-sales service at customer sites.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens S7-1500 and S7-300 PLCs.
- Knowledge of Rockwell PLCs will be an added advantage.
- Solid experience with Siemens WinCC and SCADA.
- Knowledge of TIA Portal V15 or above is mandatory.
- Understanding of process instrumentation including:
- Conductivity
- pH
- Temperature
- Pressure
- UV
- Flow
- Level
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of control panels and MCC interfaces.
- Understanding of membrane system commissioning and servicing.
Experience Required
- 35 years of relevant experience in servicing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of membrane systems.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in automation and process instrumentation will be preferred.
