AutoCAD Draftsman / CAD Updating Specialist – 5 star Hotel Project

About the Role

We are looking for a proficient AutoCAD Draftsman / CAD Updating Specialist to update and maintain our existing hotel project drawings (DWG).

This is primarily a CAD modification, as-built updating and drawing coordination role. You will be working on our existing AutoCAD files and incorporating verified changes communicated by our onsite engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

- Update existing architectural/master DWG files based on actual site conditions.
- Incorporate verified changes such as:
- Wall/partition thickness and locations
- Column dimensions and positions
- Room layouts, openings, doors and partitions
- Toilet/washroom layouts and cubicles
- Demolition and newly constructed works
- Other changes made during construction/interior works
- Compare existing drawings with information verified by our onsite engineer and accurately update the CAD accordingly.
- Incorporate finalized layouts/drawings from various consultants into the master DWG, including interior, kitchen, MEP, IT, security and other specialist consultants.
- Maintain clean, accurate and properly organized DWG files, including layers, dimensions, blocks and references.
- Ensure revisions are incorporated accurately and the latest drawing reflects the actual/approved condition of the project.

Important – Role Responsibilities You will NOT be responsible for independently measuring the site, verifying construction dimensions, or coordinating with consultants.

Our onsite engineer will handle site measurements,



technical verification and consultant coordination and will clearly communicate all required changes to you.

Your responsibility will be to understand the instructions provided by our engineer and accurately implement those changes in the existing AutoCAD drawings.

Site Requirement

During the initial major drawing-update phase, you will be required to work onsite at the hotel for approximately 2–3 hours per day for around 1–2 weeks, depending on the extent of the work.

This onsite presence is key to ensure quick communication with our engineer and avoid unnecessary delays in making and reviewing drawing changes.

Once the major updates are completed, minor revisions may be handled remotely, as mutually agreed.

Requirements

- Strong practical proficiency in AutoCAD and DWG editing
- Experience modifying and updating existing drawings, not just creating new drawings
- Ability to accurately interpret plans, dimensions and architectural/construction drawings
- Strong attention to detail and dimensional accuracy
- Ability to maintain organized CAD files and follow existing drawing standards
- Experience with as-built drawings / construction revisions is preferred
- Experience with hotel, commercial, interior fit-out or renovation projects is an advantage
