Role Overview:

We are looking for an Associate Manager - Security Operations & Cyber Defence to manage cybersecurity operations, SOC, incident response, vulnerability management, security governance, risk, and compliance. The role requires strong knowledge of cybersecurity, security frameworks, and regulatory requirements, with valuable coordination skills to work with cross-functional IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and coordinate Security Operations and Cyber Defence activities.
- Monitor security events, alerts and incidents and ensure timely investigation and response.
- Coordinate incident detection, analysis, containment, remediation and post-incident activities.
- Support and enhance SOC operations, threat monitoring, threat detection and threat response.
- Manage and coordinate vulnerability assessment and vulnerability management activities.
- Conduct or coordinate security assessments, audits and risk assessments.
- Identify cybersecurity risks and recommend appropriate security controls and mitigation measures.
- Develop, implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
- Support security governance, risk and compliance (GRC) activities.
- Ensure alignment with ISO 27001, DPDP Act and other applicable security and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Infrastructure, Network, Application, Cloud and other technical teams to address security requirements and incidents.
- Assist in security architecture reviews, application security assessments and infrastructure security assessments.
- Support threat intelligence, threat hunting and proactive security monitoring initiatives.
- Maintain security incident records, risk registers, vulnerability reports and compliance documentation.
- Prepare cybersecurity reports, dashboards, metrics and management updates.
- Participate in security audits and support remediation of audit findings.




- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external security vendors/service providers where required.
- Provide technical guidance and support to cybersecurity/SOC team members.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and industry best practices.

Required Skills:

- Strong understanding of Cybersecurity and Information Security principles.
- Hands-on knowledge of SOC operations and security monitoring.
- Understanding of Security Incident Response and Incident Management.
- Knowledge of Vulnerability Management and Security Assessments.
- Good understanding of SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and security monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of Threat Detection, Threat Intelligence and Threat Hunting.
- Strong understanding of Risk Management and Security Governance.
- Good knowledge of ISO 27001 and information security controls.
- Understanding of DPDP Act and data protection requirements.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls and MITRE ATT&CK.;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to lead security initiatives and coordinate with cross-functional technical teams.

Qualification & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
- 35 years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity, SOC, Security Operations, Cyber Defence, Information Security, or Security Governance.
- Experience working with cross-functional IT teams and managing cybersecurity-related activities.
- Experience in healthcare, BFSI, government, or other regulated environments will be an added advantage.
