Provide L1 operational support for enterprise database environments including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, ensuring database availability, monitoring, backup validation, and incident management. Support day-to-day database administration activities while collaborating with L2/L3 teams for issue resolution and continuous service stability.

About the Role

1. Monitor database servers, services, and instances to ensure availability, performance, and operational health.

2. Perform daily health checks, monitor alerts, job failures, storage utilization, and database connectivity.

3. Validate and monitor backup jobs, report failures, and support backup and recovery activities.

4. Manage database users, roles, permissions, and access requests in accordance with security policies.

5. Provide first-level support for SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.

6. Troubleshoot basic database, performance, and connectivity issues, escalating complex problems to L2/L3 teams.

7. Handle incidents and service requests within SLA timelines while following ITIL processes and escalation procedures.

8. Maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles,



and prepare regular database health and incident reports.

About You

1. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

2. 1-3 years of experience in database administration or production database support.

3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, MySQL, and PostgreSQL administration.

4. Understanding of database concepts such as tables, indexes, schemas, users, and SQL queries.

5. Familiarity with backup and recovery processes, database monitoring, and performance monitoring.

6. Exposure to database monitoring tools and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar tools.

7. Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments, with awareness of ITIL best practices.

8. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work in a 24x7 support workplace.
