Primary Function: Drive revenue growth by developing new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, analysing market trends, and executing effective sales initiatives. The role will support the Director of Sales and Associate Director of Sales in achieving business objectives and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Business Development
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies for assigned market segments.
- Identify, prospect, and convert new business opportunities to achieve revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Represent the hotel at relevant industry events, exhibitions, and business forums.
- Conduct client visits, sales calls, presentations, and site inspections as required.
Sales Performance Reporting
- Achieve assigned individual and departmental revenue targets.
- Prepare and execute weekly and monthly sales action plans.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, business opportunities, and forecasts.
- Provide regular updates on market trends, customer feedback, competitor activity, and business pipeline.
- Monitor sales performance and take corrective actions to maximise business opportunities.
Team Co-ordination Service Excellence
- Coordinate with Front Office, FB, Revenue, Reservations,
and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support and guide team members in achieving departmental objectives.
- Ensure prompt response to client queries and effective resolution of customer concerns.
- Maintain high standards of guest and client satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Financial Operational Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for cost-effective utilisation of resources.
- Ensure sales activities are aligned with approved budgets and business priorities.
- Protect the hotels commercial interests while negotiating with clients and business partners.
- Escalate matters impacting revenue, customer relationships, or organisational interests to Management.
Qualifications
- Graduate in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in hotel sales, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Valuable understanding of local market dynamics and corporate/business segments.
- Target-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused approach.
