Investment

Operations is responsible for maintaining a high degree of data integrity, multiple system maintenance, and high-end reporting delivery along with other operational tasks for AXA XL Investment Management. Consumers of this data include Fixed Income, Investment reporting, Investment Compliance, and Risk management teams.

The Data Integrity Team is a part of Global Investment Operation’s Group, It is a dedicated group of professionals who ensure that all AXA XL cash & positions data are accurate for critical processes including investment management, analytics, compliance, and regulatory reporting. Cash & Position types include, but are not limited to, equities, fixed income, OTC derivative positions (swaps, swaptions, FXs, and) and collateral. The roles and responsibilities will include actively executing data validation controls and related reconciliations by ensuring the Investment book of record is reconciled with the custodian, manager.

The position will be responsible for carrying out other controls including some specific to cash, position reconciliations and exception management processes ensuring that AXA XL Portfolio data is in line with custodians, counterparties and other prime record holders every day. The team member will Laise with data vendors, other internal investment functions like Fixed Income, Risk and Strategy team, Investment Accounting and Treasury to resolve data related issues. Your primary upward interaction will be with a direct supervisor or team lead and other Investment Functions across various geographical locations.

In this role, you need to analyze and solve moderately complex problems.

What You’ll Be DOING What will your essential responsibilities include?

- Review reference data attributes of Fixed Income Bonds (ABS, MBS, Corporate Bonds Term loans, Sovereign Bonds), Listed Equity, Private Credit and Private Equity and work with data vendors & accounting team to record accurate data points across systems.
- Analyze Investment holdings reports, review key data points like Security Classifications, Ratings, Analytics, book yields etc.
- Establish good understanding of data feeds from market data providers like Bloomberg etc.
- Identify defects in data and ensure they are logged appropriately and work with relevant teams to ensure resolution.
- Support and Laise for new data requirements for internal and external reporting, including various regulatory reporting like BSCR and Solv II.
- Collaborate across various internal teams like Fixed Income, Risk, Reporting and external vendors, Custodian, and other data providers.
- Execute Solv II reporting.
- Perform the monthly CRDB reporting build up process to AXA Group.
- Automate manual process and control leveraging power query.
- Handle data related queries Self supportedly and troubleshoot to provide desired solution and actively participate in new controls development.
- Perform system to system reconciliation across systems to ensure data consistency.




- Communicate effectively across the ladder when discussing the data issues and addressing the ad hoc queries received from other teams.
- Perform other duties as and when assigned by the manager and help manager achieve the desired goal for a period.

You will report to Delivery Leader, Data Integrity Group (India). What You Will BRING We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills And Abilities

- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in finance/economics.
- Relevant years of experience in back-office operations in financial services industry.
- Working knowledge of financial markets & asset management related processes and data.
- Good understanding of data management processes including like defining Data validations rules, Data exceptions monitoring and handling.
- Ability to understand and work with data, including creating alignment among various data sources.
- Excellent communication skills require interacting with internal colleagues and external vendors to resolve queries or complete a task in hand.
- Experience of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Good knowledge about capital market and Investment instruments with the respect to global financial environment.
- Must have robust analytical skills with technical bent of mind.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Prior experience in working on systems like Bloomberg would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Power BI, proficiency in Power queries.
- Knowledge of Blackrock Aladdin or Simcorp would be added advantage.
- CFA / FRM (Level -1) preferable (not mandatory).
