IT Infrastructure & Network Administrator
Role: Assistant Manager – IT Infrastructure & Network
Location: Gurugram, Haryana
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Network Administrator to manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, LAN/WAN/MAN networks, communication systems, endpoint connectivity, and related IT operations. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in network and server administration, troubleshooting, infrastructure security, vendor/third-party coordination, and stakeholder management. The person will be responsible for ensuring high availability, reliability, security, and performance of the company's IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Server & System Administration o Manage, monitor, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and related infrastructure o Perform server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting o Monitor server health, performance, storage, CPU, memory, and availability o Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, user accounts, and access permissions o Manage file servers, application servers, backup systems, and other IT infrastructure as applicable o Ensure regular backups and participate in backup/restore and disaster recovery activities o Maintain proper documentation of server configurations, assets, and infrastructure
2. Network Administration o Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and MAN infrastructure as applicable o Manage switches, routers, access points, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and network connectivity o Monitor network performance, availability, bandwidth utilization, and connectivity o Troubleshoot network outages, packet loss, latency, DNS/DHCP issues,
and connectivity problems o Coordinate with ISPs and telecom service providers for internet, leased lines, MPLS/SD-WAN, VPN,
and other connectivity requirements o Maintain network diagrams, IP address plans, port mappings, and configuration documentation
3. Firewall & Network Security o Configure and administer enterprise firewalls and security appliances o Manage firewall policies, NAT, VPN, access rules, and security configurations o Monitor firewall logs and network traffic for suspicious activity o Implement appropriate network segmentation and access controls o Coordinate with security teams/vendors for vulnerability remediation, security incidents, and audits o Ensure firewall and network configurations follow organizational security policies
4. IT Infrastructure Support o Provide L2/L3 support for infrastructure-related incidents o Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, network, connectivity, and application infrastructure issues o Support office/site IT infrastructure, including switches, Wi-Fi, printers, communication systems, and related devices o Participate in infrastructure deployments, office/site setups, migrations, and technology upgrades o Ensure minimum downtime and timely resolution of critical infrastructure issues
5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management o Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders, business teams, management,
and IT users o Communicate with third-party vendors, system integrators, ISPs, OEMs, and service providers o Raise and track vendor/service tickets and ensure timely resolution within agreed SLAs o Coordinate infrastructure implementation and troubleshooting with third parties o Evaluate technical issues, obtain quotations/proposals where required, and support vendor selection and coordination o Provide regular updates to management on infrastructure issues, incidents, projects, and risks
6. Monitoring, Documentation & Compliance o Maintain accurate IT asset, network, server, firewall, and configuration documentation o Prepare periodic reports related to network/server uptime, incidents, capacity, and infrastructure health o Follow IT security policies, change-management procedures, and access-control processes o Support internal/external IT audits and compliance requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Information Technology, Networking
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, network administration
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Experience working with external vendors, ISPs, and technology partners
- Valuable understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and network security
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of infrastructure issues
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Certifications
Any of the following would be an advantage:
- CCNA / CCNP
- Microsoft Windows Server / Azure certifications
- VMware certifications
- ITIL Foundation
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
