Role Description The Assistant Manager Human Resources is a full-time, on-site role based in Udaipur, responsible for supporting the HR function at the property level. The role includes assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes, maintaining employee records, and coordinating performance management and training activities in alignment with Marriott standards.
The individual will help implement HR policies, support employee engagement initiatives, and respond to day-to-day employee relations queries with professionalism and confidentiality. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with department leaders on workforce planning, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations and company guidelines, and supporting payroll and advantages administration as needed. The role requires a strong service orientation, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy implementation.
- Proficiency in HR administration tasks such as maintaining employee records,
supporting payroll and benefits processes, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, handle sensitive information discreetly, and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a hospitality setting.
- Comfort with HR-related technology and office software (e.g., HRIS systems, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation tools).
- Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; professional HR certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in human resources, preferably within the hospitality industry or a similarly customer-focused environment.
