Objective

Responsible for overall plant operations ensuring safety, quality and cost-effective manufacturing. The role will drive production efficiency, resource optimization, and policy compliance while meeting business and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities / KRAs

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage end-to-end plant operations including production, maintenance, utilities, stores, and logistics functions.
2. Achieve production targets as per planned schedules while optimizing manpower and materials.
3. Monitor daily production performance, downtime, yields, wastage, and operational KPIs.
4. Coordinate with planning, sales,



and supply chain teams to ensure timely execution of production plans.
5. Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and process controls to minimize defects and rejections.
6. Implement preventive and breakdown maintenance to improve equipment reliability and plant uptime.
7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization.
8. Ensure compliance with Factory Act, labor laws, environmental regulations, and all statutory requirements.
9. Lead cost reduction, productivity improvement, and operational excellence initiatives (Lean, TPM, Kaizen, etc.).
10. Manage manpower planning, performance monitoring, and team development.
11. Maintain healthy industrial relations and coordinate closely with HR on employee matters.
12. Prepare and present MIS, operational dashboards, and performance reports to management.
