We are looking for an experienced AS/400 Developer with solid expertise in RPG, DB2/400, CL, SQL/400 and application development/support.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in AS/400 development and production support.
- Strong hands-on experience with RPG III, RPG IV, Free Form RPG, CL and DB2/400.
- Expertise in SQL/400, QUERY/400 and AS/400 utilities.
- Experience with data extraction, EDI tools/processes and batch processing.
- Domain experience in Manufacturing and Supply Chain is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DDS, Physical/Logical Files, SQL Files, Stored Procedures and complex SQL queries.
- Good understanding of ILE concepts, procedures, service programs and functions.
- Exposure to AS/400 modernization initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of application/database performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience preparing technical designs, estimates and technical specification documents.
- Ability to interact with business stakeholders, understand requirements and resolve technical queries.
- Design, develop, enhance and support applications based on business and technical specifications.
