Architectural Course Trainer – Visiting / Freelance Faculty The Open Room is looking for a passionate and experienced Architectural Course Trainer to join our academic team as a Visiting / Freelance Faculty.
Role Overview The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Architecture and a genuine interest in teaching, mentoring, and guiding architecture students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging sessions, supporting students with their academic work, and bringing practical industry knowledge into the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and structured classes for architecture students.
- Teach architectural concepts, design principles, and relevant technical subjects based on the assigned curriculum.
- Guide students through design projects, assignments, presentations, and academic submissions.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to help students improve their design thinking and technical skills.
- Bring practical architectural experience and real-world examples into teaching.
- Prepare presentations, exercises, studio activities, and other learning materials when required.
- Maintain a professional and interactive learning environment.
- Coordinate with the academic team regarding schedules, course requirements, and student progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch) or a related architectural discipline.
- Strong understanding of architectural design and fundamentals.
- Valuable communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
- Prior teaching, training, or academic experience is preferred.
- Professional architectural practice experience will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work on a visiting / freelance basis with flexible schedules.
Experience: Open to experienced architects and professionals with relevant teaching or mentoring experience.
