AR Analyst U.S Medical Billing (US Healthcare) | Chennai | Day Shift
We are hiring an AR Analyst for our US Healthcare Medical Billing (RCM) process in Chennai. The role involves following up on outstanding claims, analysing denials, and driving resolution to ensure timely reimbursement for providers.
Candidates with 1 - 5 years of hands-on AR Analyst experience in US medical billing (physician or hospital billing) are preferred. Immediate joiners will be given priority.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Follow up on outstanding and aged accounts receivable claims
- Analyse claim status, identify reasons for non-payment, denial, or underpayment, and take appropriate action
- Work on denials such as timely filing, authorization, coordination of benefits, medical necessity, coding, and eligibility-related rejections
- Initiate reconsiderations, corrected claims, appeals, and reprocessing requests as per payer guidelines
- Verify claim, patient, and provider details on payer web portals (Availity, Navinet, Payspan, etc.) where applicable
- Document call outcomes, action taken, and next follow-up steps clearly in the billing system
- Meet daily Claims and resolution targets while maintaining minimum 9598% quality scores
- Identify recurring denial trends and escalate to the Team Lead for root-cause correction
- Coordinate with charge entry, coding, and payment posting teams to resolve claim discrepancies
- Ensure complete adherence to HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality norms
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1 - 5 years as an AR Analyst in US Medical Billing (Freshers not eligible)
- Education:
Any Graduate
- Excellent spoken English with a neutral accent and confident voice-process communication
- Sound knowledge of the US Healthcare Revenue Cycle, denial management, and the appeals process
- Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, modifiers, CARC/RARC denial codes, and EOB interpretation
- Familiarity with billing software such as eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, Kareo, AdvancedMD, NextGen, or similar
- Ability to work in a fixed Day shift (8am - 5pm IST)
- Strong analytical skills, follow-up discipline, and attention to detail
Preferred: Experience in physician billing, hospital/facility billing, DME, or specialty AR; exposure to payer web portals and appeals writing.
