Position: Application Packaging Engineer

Experience: 4-12Years

Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities

- Package and repackage applications using AdminStudio and InstallShield.

- Manage end-to-end Application Packaging Lifecycle, including requirement gathering, analysis, packaging, testing, deployment, and support.

- Perform application compatibility testing on Windows 10 and Windows 7 environments.

- Create, customize, and troubleshoot Windows Installer (MSI/MST) packages.

- Deploy applications, patches, and software updates using SCCM and WSUS.

- Handle software patching activities for workstations and servers.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain SCCM infrastructure and deployments.

- Conduct quality assurance, user acceptance, and workplace-dependent testing.

- Manage incidents and service requests through ServiceNow.

- Generate automated jobs, reports, and deployment status updates.





- Collaborate with business teams to understand application requirements and licensing needs.

- Take ownership of deliverables and provide technical guidance to junior team members.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Application Packaging and Software Deployment.

- Hands-on experience with AdminStudio and InstallShield.

- Good knowledge of Windows Installer Technology (MSI, MST, App-V).

- Experience with Microsoft SCCM/MECM and WSUS.

- Knowledge of Windows operating systems, particularly Windows 10/7.

- Experience in software patch management and deployment troubleshooting.

- Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing and incident management.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to lead activities and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.
