Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced API Automation Tester with 5-10 years of experience in API Testing, Automation Testing, and Selenium Automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing and implementing automation frameworks, validating REST/SOAP APIs, and ensuring end-to-end quality of web applications through robust test automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain API automation test frameworks and scripts.

- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

- Validate RESTful and SOAP APIs using automation tools and frameworks.

- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium for web applications.

- Create test plans, test cases, and test data for API and UI testing.

- Analyze automation test results, identify defects, and track issues through resolution.

- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams.

- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.

- Ensure automation coverage and improve testing efficiency.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

Required Skills

API Testing

- Strong hands-on experience in API Testing.

- Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs.

- API validation using Postman, Swagger, and automation frameworks.

- Knowledge of JSON, XML, and API authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, Basic Auth).

- Experience with API automation using Java/Python frameworks.

Automation Testing





- Experience in designing and developing automation frameworks.

- Strong understanding of Data-Driven, Hybrid, and Keyword-Driven Frameworks.

- Experience with TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, or similar frameworks.

- Test execution, reporting, and defect management expertise.

Selenium Automation

- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.

- Page Object Model (POM) Framework implementation.

- Cross-browser automation testing.

- Handling dynamic web elements and synchronization techniques.

Programming Skills

- Java or Python programming experience.

- Solid OOP concepts.

- Collections, Exception Handling, and Multithreading knowledge.

CI/CD & Version Control

- Jenkins / Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions.

- Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

- Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing practices.

Database Testing

- SQL Queries.

- Database validation and backend testing.

- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

Preferred Skills

- Rest Assured.

- Karate Framework.

- Playwright automation.

- Docker and Kubernetes basics.

- Performance testing exposure using JMeter.

- Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure).

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5-10 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
