We're Hiring: AI Engineer | Kenpath Technologies

Kenpath Technologies is building AI-powered systems that operate in production at scale - across agritech platforms, govtech services, and tools for the social sector. We're looking for an AI Engineer to join our dedicated AI sub-team and help design, build, and operate LLM-powered systems that are fast, reliable, and cost-effective.

? What you'll do

- Design and build LLM-powered features: RAG pipelines, summarization, structured extraction, conversational AI, and agentic workflows
- Work across multiple model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Mistral, open-source models) and choose the right model for quality, latency, and cost
- Build and optimize retrieval systems — hybrid search (BM25 + dense embeddings), vector stores, chunking, and re-ranking
- Design evaluation frameworks and run structured comparisons of prompting/summarization strategies, iterating on evidence
- Monitor and optimize AI API costs and token usage in production; diagnose cost and latency regressions
- Write production-grade Python (Pydantic AI, FastAPI, or similar) with clean interfaces for product teams
- Stay current with the fast-moving AI landscape and bring practical, tested recommendations to the team

✅ What we're looking for
- 2–5 years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years of hands-on LLM/GenAI work
- Strong Python skills,



including async programming and API service development
- Practical experience integrating LLM APIs - prompting, function/tool calling, structured outputs, streaming
- Experience building RAG systems: embeddings, vector databases, retrieval strategies, evaluation
- Understanding of token economics - context management, caching, model tiering, cost-aware design
- Working knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) and cloud deployment (AWS preferred)
- An experimental, evidence-driven mindset - you measure before you conclude
- Strong written communication - you can document architectures and trade-offs clearly

✨ Nice to have
- Experience with speech-to-text pipelines, OCR (e.g., Mistral OCR), or multilingual NLP (Indian languages a plus)
- Familiarity with agent frameworks (Pydantic AI, LangGraph, or similar) and MCP
- Experience with fine-tuning, model evaluation harnesses, or LLM observability tooling
- Background in agritech, govtech, or social-sector AI applications
- Open-source contributions or published technical writing
