- Job Purpose

Aiding to DH Project Management to plan, coordinate, execute, and monitor assigned greenfield project task, infrastructure developments, automation initiatives, and improvement projects, ensuring completion within approved scope, budget, timeline, quality, and safety requirements in compliance with quality, statutory, and business requirements. The position serves as the central point for coordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, consultants, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve organizational growth objectives.
- Dimensions:

Project site would involve respective technology suppliers, contractors and agencies working at site. Work would happen in all the three shifts.

All the safety related basic infrastructure need to be build ground up.

Budget Control, Cash Flow Monitoring, and Cost Variance Management. Management of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Start-up Activities to be completed at the site for facilitating Main OEM supplied Equipment & Utility equipment erection & commissioning in the given time-lines.

- Job Context & Major Challenges:

Job Context Hindalco is proposing to set up a new extrusion facility to manufacture specialized Aluminium extrusion product for electronics, automotive, industrial machinery etc. The total envisaged capacity is 7.5 KT. The project is proposed to be co-located at existing Extrusion Facility at Kuppam,



Chittor district of Andhra Pradesh. The Kuppam facility is being developed as a hub for specialized aluminium alloy extrusions to cater to key market segments such as electronics, automotive, industrial machinery, and consumer durables The project will require key equipment like Induction Melting Furnace, Electric Holding Furnace, Electric Homogenising Furnaces, DC Casting, 9” Extrusion Press, Ageing Ovens, Fabrication and Cutting Machines, Electrolytic Degreasing and other related material handling & utility systems. Job Challenges There is no basic infrastructure available at the site. The necessary infrastructure needs to be conceived and erected for ensuring smooth Erection of the equipment.

- Key Result Areas/Accountabilities:

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities Supporting Actions Project Planning & Strategy Develop detailed project schedules and execution plans.

Define project scope, milestones, resource requirements, and budgets.

Prepare project documentation including RFQs, technical specifications, and project reports if required.

Support feasibility studies and project cost estimation.

Project Execution

Coordinate engineering, execution, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning activities.

Monitor project progress against schedule and budget.

Ensure timely resolution of project constraints and risks.

Contractor & Vendor Management

Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for project execution.

Review technical offers and participate in vendor evaluations.

Monitor contractor productivity, quality, and safety performance.

Verify bills, work completion certificates, and deliverables.

Engineering & Technical Support

Review layouts, engineering drawings,



and technical specifications.

Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Automation teams.

Ensure installation activities conform to approved standards.

Support troubleshooting during commissioning.

Cost & Budget Control

Track project expenditures and commitments.

Monitor budget utilization and cost variances.

Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures.

Submit regular project cost reports.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with plant safety and statutory requirements.

Conduct project risk assessments and safety reviews.

Monitor contractor safety performance.

Participate in audits and inspections.

Project Monitoring & Reporting

Conduct weekly and monthly project review meetings.

Update project dashboards and progress reports.

Report project risks, delays, and mitigation plans.

Maintain project documentation and records.

Commissioning & Handover

Coordinate equipment trials and commissioning activities.

Ensure closure of punch points.

Obtain stakeholder sign-offs.

Handover completed projects to operations and maintenance teams.
