ABOUT THE ROLE

Golden Jackal Studios is building one of Indias first AI-first kids animation studios. Were looking for a hands-on AI Automation Engineer who can build the backend systems and workflow pipelines that power our content generation stack. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automation workflows that connect creative tools, internal systems, cloud infrastructure, and production processes.

This includes helping us automate parts of image, video, audio, and asset workflows so the studio can create content faster, more reliably, and at higher quality.

This is not a pure research or model-building role. We are looking for an engineer first someone who enjoys building working systems, integrating APIs, managing cloud workflows, and solving production problems in a fast-moving environment.

WHAT YOULL DO

Workflow Automation & Pipeline Building

- Build and maintain automated workflows for creative production across image, video, audio, and related operations
- Use tools like n8n, along with custom scripts and services, to orchestrate multi-step production pipelines
- Connect generation tools, storage systems, internal databases, and review workflows
- Design systems with retries, fallbacks, queueing, logging, and monitoring
- Reduce manual effort in content production through robust workflow design

API Integration & Orchestration

- Integrate third-party APIs across media generation, voice, transcription, storage, notifications, and workflow tools
- Build webhook-based and event-driven systems across multiple services
- Handle authentication, payload design, async jobs, rate limits, and failure recovery
- Create lightweight services to validate, transform, and route data between tools
- Ensure systems are modular so new tools can be added as the stack evolves

Cloud Infrastructure & Deployment

- Deploy and manage automation systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Work with services such as Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub,Cloud Storage, Firestore, and related infrastructure
- Manage job execution, scheduling, storage, and backend services required for production workflows
- Improve system reliability, speed,



and cost efficiency
- Support containerized or script-based deployments where needed

Engineering for Production

- Write production-grade code in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Build internal backend utilities and services to support automated content workflows
- Monitor system performance and debug failures across connected tools and services
- Document workflows, system logic, and infrastructure clearly
- Help create a maintainable and scalable technical backbone for the studio

Internal Tooling & Creative Interfaces

- Build lightweight internal web tools that let the creative team interact with production
- workflows submitting loglines, reviewing generated images, approving or refining video outputs
- Design simple, functional interfaces for non-technical users that sit on top of automated backend pipelines
- Comfort using no-code/low-code UI tools (such as Lovable, Retool, or similar) to ship internal dashboards and review interfaces this is not a frontend role, but you should be able to get something usable in front of the team quickly

Collaboration & Systems Thinking

- Work closely with creative and product teams to convert messy manual workflows into clean technical systems
- Understand production bottlenecks and engineer around them
- Balance speed with reliability in a startup environment
- Evaluate recent tools and APIs for integration into the workflow stack
- Help shape the long-term architecture of the studios automation layer

PREFERRED SKILLS Tools & Technologies

- Make.com, n8n or similar workflow orchestration tools
- GCP (Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Firestore, BigQuery)
- Python and/or JavaScript / TypeScript
- APIs, webhooks, OAuth, JSON payloads, background jobs, and async workflows
- Git / GitHub
- Docker (preferred)




- Comfort using no-code/low-code UI tools (such as Lovable, Retool, or similar)
- FFmpeg or media-processing workflows (preferred)
- Familiarity with AI-powered APIs or creative tools is a plus
- ComfyUI or open-source model workflows (optional)

EDUCATION

- B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related fields
- MCA / BCA / B.Sc. Computer Science
- Strong self-taught engineers with relevant project experience
- Candidates with solid GitHub projects in automation, backend systems, or applied engineering workflows
