- Maintain and update accounting ledgers, journals, and financial records accurately.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions using accounting software, especially Tally.
- Assist in preparing Profit & Loss Accounts, Balance Sheets, and other financial reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and verify cash and transaction records.
- Assist with GST, TDS, and TCS-related documentation and filings.
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments from clients.
- Record and monitor petty cash transactions and maintain the petty cash register.
- Verify invoices, bills, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Assist in checking and rectifying accounting errors or discrepancies.
- Maintain proper records of office and departmental expenses.
- Assist in monitoring expenses against the approved budget.
- Maintain and organize financial and client records for easy reference.
- Ensure regular backup of accounting and financial data.
- Coordinate with the senior accounts team for day-to-day accounting activities.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience as a Junior Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Good knowledge of Tally and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and TCS.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable and payment follow-up.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility for assigned accounting tasks.
