About Us

Rheological Enterprises is a Chennai-based distributor of plumbing materials (authorized distributor for Astral, Pidilite, LEO Taps & Fittings, and Lehry Valves), alongside our contracting and fabrication arms. We're growing and looking to strengthen our accounts team.

Role Overview

We're hiring an Accounting Assistant to support our accountant with day-to-day financial operations — reducing dependency on a single person and ensuring smoother, timely processing across all routine accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and reconcile Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) on a regular basis
- Handle GST filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and related compliance) in coordination with our accountant/CA
- Manage petty cash — recording, vouching, and reconciliation
- Process staff allowances and reimbursements
- Assist with monthly salary processing and payroll records
- Maintain day book, ledgers, and vendor/customer account entries




- Support invoice booking, payment follow-ups, and TDS entries
- Assist with data entry and record-keeping in Tally/Zoho Inventory
- Coordinate with the accountant for month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents and statutory records

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (freshers with strong fundamentals may also apply)
- Working knowledge of GST filing procedures
- Proficiency in Tally / Zoho Inventory / MS Excel
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential financial data
- Based in or willing to commute to Perungudi, Chennai

Nice to Have

- Prior experience in a trading/distribution or contracting business
- Familiarity with payroll processing
