About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and student-focused Academic Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding students and prospective learners in choosing suitable academic programs, understanding their career goals, and supporting them throughout the admission and enrollment process.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and prospective candidates regarding courses, programs, and career opportunities.
- Understand students' academic backgrounds, interests, and career goals to recommend suitable programs.
- Handle enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and other communication channels.
- Follow up with prospective students and maintain regular communication until enrollment.
- Explain course details, eligibility criteria, duration, fees, and career prospects clearly.
- Maintain accurate records of student enquiries, follow-ups, and admissions.
- Achieve assigned admission/enrollment targets.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
- Coordinate with the academic and admission teams to ensure a smooth enrollment process.




- Participate in educational events, seminars, career guidance sessions, and promotional activities when required.
- Prepare regular reports on enquiries, follow-ups, conversions, and admissions.
- Stay updated about the courses and programs offered by the organization.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 0–2 years of experience in academic counseling, student counseling, admissions, telecalling, sales, or a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good convincing and negotiation skills.
- Strong follow-up and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to understand students' requirements and provide appropriate guidance.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and basic computer applications.
- Target-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated approach.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills are also encouraged to apply.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in an educational institution, training institute, or ed-tech organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Malayalam.
- Customer/student handling experience.
- Positive presentation and problem-solving skills.
