Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counsellor role (IIT & Professional Courses – Edtech Sales) based in Bengaluru South.

The Academic

Counsellor will guide prospective and existing students in choosing suitable IIT and professional courses, explaining program structures, learning outcomes, and career pathways.

Responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, handling inbound and outbound calls, following up with leads, and supporting enrollment through consultative, needs-based discussions. The role involves maintaining accurate records of student interactions, collaborating with sales and academic teams, and meeting targets related to student conversions and course admissions.





The Academic

Counsellor will also participate in events, seminars, and workshops to promote programs and enhance learner engagement.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to help learners choose suitable academic and qualified pathways.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to conduct clear, empathetic, and persuasive discussions with students and families.
- Candidates should possess Academic Advising and Education-related knowledge to explain courses, curricula, and learning outcomes accurately.
- Relevant experience in edtech sales, academic counseling, or education services, preferably with IIT/JEE or professional courses, is beneficial.
- Ability to work with targets, manage multiple inquiries, and maintain detailed records using CRM or similar tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a learner-centric mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with academic and sales teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, counseling, or business is an advantage.
- Comfort with on-site work in Bengaluru South and flexibility to work extended hours during peak admission periods.
