Role Description The Academic Advisor is a full-time, in office role based in Gurugram. In this position, the advisor will provide one-on-one academic and career counseling to prospective and current students, including working professionals, helping them select appropriate management and distance education programs. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, assessing educational and career goals, advising on program options and university offerings, and guiding students through the admission and enrollment process.
The advisor will maintain accurate records of student interactions,
collaborate with the counseling team to improve advising practices, and support outreach activities such as information sessions or campus events. The role requires consistent in-person availability to offer timely support and build lasting relationships with students.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Student Counseling and Academic Advising to support learners in making informed educational decisions.
- Strong Communication abilities, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Experience in Career Counseling and Education, particularly in management or higher education programs.
- Understanding of distance education programs and university admission processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Management, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Proven ability to build trust with diverse student populations and working professionals.
- Organizational and documentation skills to manage multiple student cases and deadlines effectively.
- Comfort working in an on-site, student-facing environment and collaborating within a counseling team.
