Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machines including HMC, VMC, HBM, and Turn-Mill (5-axis) for operations such as profile milling, drilling, tapping, and boring.
Perform job setup, tool setting, and tool offset adjustments.
Read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T; and follow ISO standards.
Prepare and edit 2D CNC programs (manual programming) using G-code and M-code.
Work on CNC controls such as FANUC, Siemens and similar systems.
Monitor machining processes and make setup corrections and parameter adjustments when required.
Handle precision component machining, including aerospace components (preferred).
Ensure production as per Standard operating procedures (SOP)and work instructions.
Maintain production reports and proper identification at all stages.
Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges, and basic exposure.
Perform cutting tool selection and parameter calculation based on material properties.
Handle heavy components (100 kg and above) safely.
Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic preventive maintenance.
Follow all safety protocols including proper PPE usage, machine guarding, secure handling of tools and materials, and adherence to shop floor safety practices.
Required Skills
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Willing to work in Kanchipuram.
Robust knowledge of CNC machining processes and machine operations.
Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and maintain quality.
Basic knowledge of raw material properties.
Apprenticeship / NEEM trainee experience will be considered.
