nAbout the Role
nWe are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer (SDE-3) to lead the design and delivery of world-class user experiences across Pepper's product suite. This is not a purely execution role — you will shape frontend architecture, establish engineering standards, and bring an AI-native lens to how interfaces get built. You will own the frontend end to end, mentor engineers, and partner closely with product and design to ship experiences that are quick, accessible, and intelligent.

nKey Responsibilities

Architect and lead the development of scalable, performant frontend systems using React and Next.jsn
Define frontend engineering standards, patterns, and best practices across the teamn
Build and ship AI-powered UI features — conversational interfaces, agent-driven workflows, real-time streaming interactions — as first-class product experiencesn




Partner with product and design to translate complex requirements into clean, intuitive interfacesn
Own performance, accessibility, and reliability across the frontend stackn
Lead code reviews, technical design discussions, and frontend architecture decisionsn
Mentor SDE-1 and SDE-2 engineers, raising the bar on frontend craft and AI-native thinkingn
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, rendering issues, and UX gaps proactively.n

nMust-Have Skills

Expert-level React.js and Next.js, deep understanding of rendering models, SSR, ISR, and app architecturen
TypeScript — robust typing, maintainable abstractions, scalable codebasesn
Solid CSS fundamentals, responsive design, design systems, component librariesn
State management patterns at scale (Zustand, Redux, React Query, or equivalent)n
REST API integration and experience working with async data flowsn
