Job Description:

Position: Head - Maintenance & Safety

Location: Silvassa

Experience: 8 - 10 Years

Industries: Engineering

Responsibilities:
Lead preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities for all plant equipment.
Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum unplanned downtime.
Establish equipment-wise maintenance standards, checklists and schedules.
Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
Drive RCA, MTBF and MTTR improvement.
Maintain critical spares and ensure optimum inventory levels.
Develop equipment history and maintenance records.
Coordinate with OEMs and external service providers for specialized maintenance.
Monitor HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, MCC/PCC panels, VFDs, PLCs, SCADA and control systems.
Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy reduction.
Drive a strong Zero Harm / Zero Accident culture across the plant.
Ensure compliance with applicable Factory, Labor, Electrical, Fire, Water and EHS regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits and risk assessments.
Implement and monitor -Permit to Work, LOTO, Working at Height, Hot Work and Confined Space procedures.
Ensure machine guarding, electrical safety,



fire safety and emergency preparedness.
Investigate accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and ensure effective CAPA.
Conduct safety training, toolbox talks and awareness programs.
Monitor contractor safety and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
Coordinate emergency drills, fire drills and other statutory safety exercises.
Lead CAPEX and improvement projects.
Identify prospects for automation, energy saving and process improvement.
