nJoin a team of skilled and experienced technologists tasked with maintaining and enhancing our large scale, globally deployed RedHat Linux-based platform.
n

nPrimary Responsibilities:
n

n
n
Take ownership of components on a global level, working with operational counterparts and customers to prioritize and execute on enhancements, extensions and remediation in these critical components of our infrastructure.n
Use declarative configuration-as-code principles and extensive automation across a mixture of strategic engineering and design projects.n
Add features, manage, and tune configuration, and perform deep-level troubleshooting of the existing Linux platform management systems and Linux O/S configuration and builds.n
Be involved in the architectural design and implementation of current solutions to support the fast-paced, agile needs of the business.n
Lead the development of new ideas and policies at an inter-departmental level.n

nRequired Qualifications / Skills :
n

n
n




Expert knowledge of Linux, including familiarity with UNIX system calls, and low-level O/S and network protocols.n
Experience of using any modern config management system (examples such as Salt Stack, Puppet, or Chef) to automate management of a large-scale Linux deployment.n
Ability to write robust, maintainable code in Python and/or Perl.n
Effective troubleshooting skills across hardware, O/S, network, and storage.n
Ability to convey complex technical topics to a non-technical audience, identify and communicate the business risks or perks of the projects you are working on, and form strategic relationships with key stakeholders.n

Experience working in a large, multi-national enterprise in any industry vertical, showing experience of communicating and collaborating in globally distributed teams.n
