We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who can independently execute the mechanical design of assigned machine modules and components for ADoST machines.

The person will work closely with the Lead Design Engineer and will be responsible for taking assigned designs from concept/detail design → drawings → fabrication → assembly → testing , while developing strong practical machine-design skills.

The role requires a hands-on engineer who can understand engineering requirements, create practical designs, work with vendors and production, and solve mechanical problems during machine development.

Ideal Profile:

- BE / B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering essential.
- M. Tech will be preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in machine design / special-purpose machinery / industrial automation / equipment development .
- Valuable hands-on experience with 3D CAD, preferably Solid Works , and engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of machine design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances and fits.
- Working knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, couplings, linear guides, actuators, pneumatic components, structures, sheet metal and machined components.
- Ability to understand a mechanical requirement and convert it into a practical design.
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Experience in designing industrial machines, automation equipment,

dispensing equipment, pumps or similar products will be an advantage.
- Should be comfortable interacting with vendors, production and assembly teams.
- Should be willing to go beyond CAD work and participate in machine build, testing and troubleshooting .
- Most importantly, should be curious, hands-on, accountable and willing to learn

Key Responsibilities :

A. Mechanical Design

- Develop 3D models, assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings for assigned machine modules and components.
- Convert engineering concepts and requirements into practical mechanical designs.
- Select appropriate mechanical components and materials in consultation with the Lead.
- Apply appropriate tolerances, fits and manufacturing considerations to designs.
- Prepare and maintain BOMs and mechanical documentation.
- Modify and improve existing ADoST designs based on project and testing requirements.

B. Design to Machine

- Follow assigned designs through fabrication, assembly and testing.
- Work with vendors and production teams to resolve manufacturing and assembly issues.
- Check fabricated components and assemblies against drawings where required.
- Participate in machine testing and identify mechanical problems.
- Make design changes based on test results and practical learning.

C.

Problem Solving

- Investigate mechanical issues during design, fabrication, assembly and testing.
- Identify root causes and propose practical corrective actions.
- Support the Lead Design Engineer in solving difficult mechanical problems.
- Learn from machine failures, customer feedback and previous designs and incorporate those learnings into future designs.

D. Working with the Design Team

- Work closely with the Lead Design Engineer and other engineers on machine development.
- Take ownership of assigned mechanical modules and deliver them within agreed timelines.
- Participate actively in design reviews.
- Communicate design risks, delays and technical issues early.
- Follow established design standards and contribute ideas for improving them.

Expected Working Style

We are looking for someone who:

- Takes ownership of his/her assigned work.
- Enjoys designing and building machines.
- Is comfortable going to the shop floor and working through real problems.
- Does not consider the job finished when the CAD model is completed.
- Asks questions, learns quickly and develops engineering judgement.
- Communicates issues early rather than hiding delays or problems.
- Can work independently on assigned responsibilities while knowing when to seek guidance.
- Is willing to work flexibly when required during prototype builds, testing and critical project milestones.

This is a hands-on mechanical engineering role.

The expectation is not simply to create drawings, but to understand the machine, design it correctly and see the design through to a working machine.
