Role Overview

The Team Leader – Relationship Manager is responsible for leading a team of relationship

managers, driving performance, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with

financial regulations. This role requires strong leadership, decision-making ability, and a deep

understanding of the mutual fund distribution business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership

● Provide strong leadership by inspiring and motivating the team to achieve business

targets.

● Set clear goals, KPIs, and expectations for team members.

2. Team Management

● Oversee daily team operations and workflow management.

● Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback, coaching, and guidance.

● Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture.

3. Communication

● Ensure effective communication within the team and across departments.

● Keep team members updated on company policies, business goals, and organizational

changes.

4. Problem Solving

● Address and resolve conflicts within the team in a timely manner.

● Identify operational or performance-related challenges and implement solutions.

5. Decision Making

● Make informed decisions aligned with organizational objectives.

● Delegate responsibilities effectively to optimize team productivity.

● Identify skill gaps and training needs within the team.

● Facilitate professional development and encourage continuous learning.

Performance Evaluation

● Conduct regular performance reviews and assessments.

● Recognize, reward, and retain high-performing employees.

● Provide actionable improvement plans where required.

● Work closely with other team leaders and departments to achieve company goals.

● Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.

9. Regulatory Compliance

● Ensure adherence to industry regulations and compliance standards, especially those

governed by Association of Mutual Funds in India.

● Stay updated with changes in financial laws, guidelines, and compliance

requirements.

Experience Requirements

● Minimum: 4–5 years in financial services / wealth management / mutual funds

● Preferred: 6–8 years of total relevant experience

● Team Handling: At least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field

● Robust understanding of mutual fund products and investment solutions (preferred)

● Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

● Analytical thinking with strong problem-solving abilities

● Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks
