We are looking for a QA Engineer / Senior QA Engineer who can take ownership of product quality across the development lifecycle. The role involves a strong mix of manual testing, test automation, API testing, debugging, and collaboration with engineering and product teams.

You will play an important role in ensuring that the products we build are reliable, scalable, and ready for real-world users.

Job Overview

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing applications across different stages of development, identifying issues early, improving automation coverage, and helping the engineering team deliver high-quality releases.

We are looking for someone who is not limited to executing test cases but thinks from a user, business, and engineering perspective.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance

- Perform manual and automated testing of web and mobile applications.
- Understand product requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, UI, and Exploratory Testing.
- Identify edge cases and potential failure scenarios before releases.
- Validate application functionality, usability, reliability, and overall product quality.
- Participate in release testing and provide QA sign-off based on defined quality criteria.

Test Automation

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or similar automation frameworks.
- Build and maintain reusable automation test suites.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive and high-value testing activities.
- Improve automation coverage and reliability over time.
- Analyze automation failures and distinguish between application defects and test/framework issues.

API & Database Testing

- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Validate API requests, responses, status codes, authentication, error handling, and data consistency.




- Perform basic database testing and write SQL queries for data validation.
- Verify data flow between application interfaces, APIs, and databases.

Defect Management

- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using JIRA or similar tools.
- Provide clear reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, screenshots/logs, and relevant technical information.
- Work closely with developers to investigate and resolve defects.
- Perform defect verification and regression testing after fixes.
- Track recurring issues and contribute to preventing similar defects in future releases.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

- Work closely with developers, Product Managers, designers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in requirement discussions and provide QA inputs early in the development process.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release discussions.
- Communicate testing status, risks, blockers, and release readiness clearly.
- Take ownership of assigned QA activities and deliver them within project timelines.

QA Process Improvement

- Maintain test cases, test plans, automation scripts, test reports, and QA documentation.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, testing standards, and automation practices.
- Identify gaps in existing testing processes and recommend practical improvements.
- Help build a culture of quality from development through release, rather than treating QA as a final-stage activity.

Required Skills

- 2–4 years of professional experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Strong hands-on experience in both Manual Testing and Test Automation.
- Experience with Selenium or similar automation frameworks.
- Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or another relevant language.




- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Good knowledge of test case design, test execution, defect management, and testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar defect tracking tools.
- Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Good understanding of web application testing and UI validation.
- Experience creating, executing, and maintaining automation test suites.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of QA deliverables.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with mobile application testing.
- Knowledge of automation framework development or enhancement.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Exposure to cloud-based applications and environments.
- Experience testing AI-enabled or data-driven applications is a plus.
