- Diagnose and manage patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and other cardiovascular disorders.
- Conduct OPD/IPD consultations and manage acute cardiac emergencies.
- Perform and interpret ECG, 2D Echo, TMT, Holter monitoring, and angiography as per expertise.
- For an interventional role, perform/assist with coronary angiography, angioplasty/PCI, pacemaker and other cardiac procedures based on training and hospital facilities.
- Provide preventive cardiology counselling regarding hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol, lifestyle modification, and cardiac risk factors.
- Coordinate with Cardiac Surgery, ICU, Emergency, Anaesthesia, and other departments for comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols and clinical guidelines.
- Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis.
- Mentor junior doctors and participate in clinical audits, teaching, and research where applicable.
