About the Role
/n
We are looking for an experienced Legal Manager to manage the legal, contractual, litigation and regulatory requirements of a leading healthcare organization. The role will work closely with senior management, business functions, external legal counsel and government authorities to ensure effective legal risk management and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Draft, review, vet and negotiate various commercial, healthcare and operational agreements .
/n
- Manage and monitor litigation and dispute resolution matters across courts, tribunals and regulatory forums.
/n
- Coordinate with and manage external legal counsels on ongoing litigation and legal matters.
/n
- Maintain a comprehensive litigation tracker / legal MIS and provide regular updates to senior management.
/n
- Represent the organization before courts, tribunals, government authorities, police departments and other statutory forums , wherever required.
/n
- Provide legal advice to management and business teams on contractual, operational and regulatory matters.
/n
- Identify,
assess and mitigate legal and contractual risks .
/n
- Handle medico-legal matters , including medical negligence, consumer cases and related disputes.
/n
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare, labour, statutory and regulatory requirements .
/n
- Support obtaining and maintaining relevant statutory licences and registrations , including healthcare-related licences.
/n
- Conduct title verification, document review and legal due diligence .
/n
- Draft legal notices, replies, affidavits, petitions, MOUs, NDAs, service agreements, lease agreements, consultancy agreements, indemnity bonds, settlement agreements, amendments and other legal documents.
/n
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors, consultants, agencies, service providers and other stakeholders.
/n
- Support government tenders and legal documentation .
/n
- Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and advise management on their impact.
/n
- Develop and maintain legal policies, SOPs, templates and compliance processes .
/n
- Coordinate with the Company Secretary and relevant departments for statutory and corporate compliance .
/n
- Conduct periodic legal reviews and internal meetings to identify upcoming legal risks and required actions.
/n
- Maintain proper custody, execution and archiving of legal and contractual documents.
/n
- Ensure timely closure and execution of agreements in coordination with business stakeholders.
/n
- Prepare periodic legal and litigation reports/MIS for senior leadership.
/n

Candidate Profile
/n
/n
- LL.B / B.A. LL.B from a recognized institution.
/n
- 8–15 years of relevant legal experience , preferably with a hospital, healthcare organization, corporate legal team or reputed law firm.
/n
- Strong experience in in-house legal management and litigation coordination .
/n
- Experience in handling healthcare/medico-legal matters will be preferred.
/n
- Strong drafting, contract review and negotiation skills.
/n
- Positive understanding of Indian legal and regulatory frameworks.
/n
- Ability to independently manage multiple legal matters and external counsels.
/n
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management and problem-solving skills.
/n
- Ability to work closely with MD, CFO, senior leadership and functional heads .
