Role: Content Editor – Koimoi (Digital Entertainment Portal)

Job Description:
Roles And Responsibilities
- Proofread and edit entertainment articles for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity.
- Attention to detail and an eye for spotting errors.
- Ensure that a zero-error, plagiarism-free copy is published
- Ensure consistency in style, tone, and language usage as per the style guides.
- Verify factual accuracy and facilitate necessary changes
- Collaborate with writers & the editorial team to deliver quality content
- Perform thorough checks for typographical errors and formatting issues
- Suggest revisions and enhancements to improve overall content quality
- Rehash press releases and publish. Occasionally, write articles based on given pointers
- Knowledge of entertainment content & pop culture is absolutely necessary.
- Publish edited articles on WordPress (WordPress training will be provided)
- Adhere to deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and latest editing trends
Qualifications & Skills
- 2- 4 years of experience as a Proofreader/Content Editor in online media & entertainment platforms.
- Able to deal with a large daily volume (average 300-500 words/article or higher).
- A graduate with expert-level written and spoken English and impeccable grammar.
- Robust knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules
- Attention to detail and exceptional editing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in writing entertainment content online will be an added bonus.
