bout the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to join our Global Data Analytics & Reporting team. This role combines hands-on technical development with technical leadership and mentorship responsibilities. As the most senior Power BI specialist within the development team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering complex reporting solutions, developing enterprise-grade semantic models, solving challenging technical problems, and mentoring junior developers. You will work closely with globally distributed teams across India, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the Philippines to support a major reporting transformation initiative. Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Act as the team's Power BI subject matter expert and technical escalation point. Provide guidance, mentoring, and troubleshooting support to junior developers. Conduct peer reviews and provide recommendations on development best practices. Drive technical excellence, consistency, and high-quality reporting standards. Contribute to reporting architecture and long-term analytics strategy. Dashboard Development & Data Modelling Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Power BI solutions. Build executive and operational dashboards that support business decision-making. Develop scalable semantic models that support self-service reporting. Create complex DAX calculations, measures, KPIs, and business logic. Optimise report performance and improve user experience. Implement and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS). Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across Power BI solutions. Reporting Transformation Support the organisation's reporting transformation programme. Design user-centric reporting experiences tailored to specific audiences and personas. Help establish scalable security frameworks that simplify access management across dashboards and workspaces.



Recommend innovative approaches to improve reporting effectiveness, usability, and maintainability. Data & Analytics Develop reporting solutions using data sourced from Azure Synapse Analytics and NetSuite. Work with complex datasets and business rules across multiple subject areas. Apply advanced SQL techniques to support reporting requirements. Ensure reporting models follow dimensional modelling and data warehousing best practices. Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing Support developers with technical challenges and solution design. Collaborate with Data Engineering and Reporting teams to ensure successful delivery. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical discussions. Produce and maintain technical documentation for key solutions and models. Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Essential Skills & Experience Power BI 8-10+ years of Power BI development experience. Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise Power BI solutions. Expert-level knowledge of DAX and semantic modelling. Solid understanding of Power BI architecture, best practices, and optimisation techniques. Demonstrated experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS). Experience building executive-level dashboards and complex reporting solutions. Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities. Data Modelling & Warehousing Strong understanding of dimensional modelling principles. Experience designing star schema and enterprise reporting models. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices. SQL Advanced SQL development skills. Ability to analyse and optimise complex queries. Experience working with large-scale datasets and reporting environments.



Collaboration & Leadership Experience mentoring and coaching BI developers. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently in a remote, globally distributed team. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to challenge requirements and recommend better technical solutions when appropriate. Technical Environment The successful candidate will have experience working with technologies such as: Microsoft Power BI Microsoft Fabric Azure Synapse Analytics SQL NetSuite Semantic Models Row-Level Security (RLS) Object-Level Security (OLS)
