Experience

3–8 years experience in Plano Miller / heavy-duty milling machine operation preferred.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma – Machinist, Fitter, Mechanical or equivalent technical qualification.

Job Responsibilities

- Operate and set Plano Miller / Plano Milling Machine for machining heavy and large components.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and machining requirements.
- Carry out machine setting, job alignment, levelling and component positioning.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, cutters, speeds and feeds based on material and machining requirements.
- Perform milling, facing, slotting, drilling and other machining operations as required.
- Machine components according to drawing specifications and required tolerances.
- Measure and inspect machined components using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Ensure proper job clamping and alignment before machining.
- Monitor cutting conditions, tool wear and surface finish during machining.
- Make necessary tool offsets / adjustments to achieve required dimensions.
- Maintain proper machining records and report any dimensional or machine-related issues.
- Follow production schedules and achieve daily/monthly machining targets.




- Maintain good housekeeping around the machine and follow 5S and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality and Fabrication teams to complete jobs on time.

Preferred Experience

Experience in machining large and heavy components such as:

- Pressure vessel components
- Heat exchanger components
- Storage tank components
- Heavy fabrication structures
- Flanges and plates
- Base frames and machine beds
- Large welded/fabricated components

Candidate Profile

The candidate should be hands-on, safety-conscious and capable of independently operating a Plano Miller machine. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in heavy engineering, fabrication or large-component machining.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
