Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Customs House Agent (CHA) professional with strong expertise in *perishable goods, air cargo, food products, and time-sensitive import/export shipments.* You will manage end-to-end customs clearance, coordinating with customs authorities, airlines, freight forwarders, regulatory agencies and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end customs clearance for import and export shipments, particularly perishable and food products

- Handle customs documentation - Shipping Bills, Bills of Entry, invoices, packing lists, certificates, permits and statutory documents

- Coordinate with Air Cargo Complexes, Customs, Airport Authorities, DGFT, FSSAI, Plant Quarantine, Animal Quarantine and other regulatory authorities

- Ensure timely clearance of perishable and temperature-sensitive cargo to minimize detention, demurrage, spoilage and business losses

- Manage customs procedures for food items, agricultural products, fresh produce, processed foods and other regulated commodities

- Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, transporters, warehouses, cold-chain partners and CHA teams

- Monitor shipment status from arrival/departure through customs clearance and final delivery

- Verify HS codes, customs duties, exemptions, classifications and regulatory requirements

- Handle queries, assessments, examinations,



inspections raised by Customs or other authorities

- Maintain proper records of customs documentation, approvals, clearances and compliance

- Track changes in customs regulations, import/export policies, FSSAI requirements

- Coordinate with internal procurement, logistics, finance, warehouse and sales teams

Required Experience:

- 3-7 years in CHA/customs clearance, freight forwarding, or international logistics

- Proven experience handling air cargo and airport customs clearance

- Robust experience with perishable goods and food-related imports/exports highly preferred

- Experience with FSSAI, Plant Quarantine, Animal Quarantine clearances - advantage

- Experience handling urgent/time-sensitive and temperature-controlled cargo

- Good understanding of Indian Customs procedures, EXIM documentation, HS classification, duties, compliance

- Experience with customs portals/systems and electronic filing

Educational Qualification:

Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Commerce or related field. CHA/customs certification will be an advantage.
