Job Description: Sous Chef

About the Role

We are hiring a Sous Chef who has previously worked in 4- or 5-star hotels, properties, or fine-dining restaurants. The ideal candidate will bring high-end kitchen experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining premium food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, menu execution, and quality control.
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff during service, ensuring timely and consistent output.
- Uphold 4/5-star standards in food preparation, plating, presentation, and hygiene.
- Train and mentor junior chefs on techniques, portion control, and service etiquette.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize cost and wastage.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.
- Step in as Head Chef during absences and maintain seamless kitchen operations.
- Handle guest special requests and dietary requirements with professionalism.

Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Sous Chef in 4- or 5-star hotels, properties, or fine-dining restaurants.



Candidates without this specific background will not be considered.
- Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management / Culinary Arts.
- Technical Skills: Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Eligibility: CDP-level chefs are not eligible to apply.
- Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation

- Salary Range: ₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month (depending on experience and performance).
