About the job:

Global Business Services (GBS) was established as a new transversal, multi-disciplinary function supporting and accelerating Opella as a Consumer Healthcare business through the implementation of a set of operational legal presence across in-scope markets. Opella Global Business Services (GBS) drives transformation projects to ensure it delivers best in class processes in terms of quality, cost, performance, customer satisfaction and needs, supported by high quality master data and performance KPIs. Within GBS, the services related to HR or People operations is managed by a service line namely People Services (PPLS) .

Therefore, GBS PPLS is looking for a Time to Payroll Senior Specialist (T2P) supporting India. A PPLS T2P Senior Specialist typically manages the following areas of the process:

- Handle day-to-day payroll, time and benefit activities

- Manage Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) vendor(s) when relevant

- Address operational issues with stakeholders

- Support employees’ queries

- Transversal: reporting, compliance, continuous improvement

The Time to Payroll Senior Specialist reports to PPLS Supervisor, India. The position will work closely with the Employee and External Life Cycle Specialists and also HR, Legal, Compliance, Digital and third-party providers.

Main responsibilities:

For PEOPLE SERVICES, GBS will be covering the following areas of the process:

- Organization & Employee Master Data: data accuracy and data completeness

- Employee Life Cycle Management: from hiring to retiring, including contract and job changes

- Employee queries: global and local articles, ticketing

- External Workforce: data management, onboarding and offboarding

- Transversal: reporting, compliance, continuous improvement

- Time to Pay (T2P): benefits, payroll data, calculation, post payroll and support activities.

- Must have payroll Accounting & Ledger reconciliation.

Time to Pay

- Support all the payroll related tasks on timely and accurately manner

- Gather all payroll input,



control payroll calculation results, obtain payroll approval from manager, maintaining payroll records, prepare post payroll reports etc

- Manage statutory bodies queries

- Manage internal and external audit

- Ensure adherence to Statutory Compliance with respect to payments

- Liaising /interaction with P&C;, manager, employee, government bodies, third party etc if needed

Reporting

- Provide monthly/ quarterly/ annual reports to finance or statutory bodies (if any)

Benefits activities

- Based on local benefits policy, manage activities related to health and life insurance, company card or car, loans, sport or cultural support, shares

- Support all the PF administration tasks and ensuring all PF statutory submission is compliance to local legislation and perform on timely and accurately

- Liaising /interaction with P&C;, manager, employee, third party etc if needed

Gratuity & Superannuation

- Support all the gratuity and superannuation tasks in compliance manner

- Ensure Gratuity and superannuation claim settlements are perform accurately and on timely basis

- Liaising with P&C;, manager, employee, third party etc if needed

- Ensure Adherence to Statutory Compliance with respect to payments and claims

Insurance administration

- Timely submission of all employees Insurance related data for renewal

- Responsible for enrolment and de-enrolment of employees

- Liaising, claim handling & processing with Insurance vendor

- Insurance data validation

Time activities

- Control time off & time tracking data and share with payroll, prepare local reporting, ensure compliance

Employee Queries

- Manage employee queries on payroll, taxes, deductions etc

- Ensure a customer experience when responding to employee queries,

- Ensure that all tickets for the team are being closed as per the SLA’s defined

- Assist employees on any questions related to benefits, time and payroll

Transversal

- You will closely work with Employee and External Life Cycle Specialists applying our global Core Model

- The Time to Payroll Specialist will actively contribute to great Employee Experience: assist candidates and employees with all the available self-services, assist managers and HR partners in their day-to-day administrative tasks

- The Time to Payroll Specialist shall contribute to our Continuous Improvement process by providing feedback on known issues, propose ideas, take initiatives, share best practices

He / She works closely with P&C;, Legal, Finance, Digital and Facilities management at regional and country levels and People Services teams in countries and KL Hub.

About you:

Education:

- Any Graduate or Postgraduate

Experience:





- Thorough understanding of end-to-end leave and benefit processes and activities (essential)

- Must have payroll Accounting & Ledger reconciliation experience.

- Experience in 5+ Years in End-to-End India Payroll.

- Understanding of Onboarding, Offboarding, time & attendance, compensation, taxation, benefits, and pension processes (advantageous)

- Good understanding of HR process and activities (essential)

- Awareness of data privacy rules (GDPR etc.) (advantageous)

- Strong problem solving, deductive and analytical skills (essential)

- Experience in running HR/Payroll services within a Business Services organization (advantageous)

- Good business acumen (advantageous)

Technical

- Positive understanding of and hands on experience with HR / Human Capital Management-related tools & systems (essential) as e.g. Workday & SAP (advantageous).

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office with advance level proficiency in Excel (essential)

- General knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures

- Ability to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner (essential)

- Team player, able to work collaboratively transversally and with HRS front line teams with an end-to-end mindset (essential)

- Good communication skills (advantageous)
