STP / ETP Operator – Job Description

Job Title: STP / ETP Operator

Department: Operations / Environment

Experience: 0–3 years

Location: Coimbatore

Qualification: ITI / Diploma / 10th or 12th (preferably with relevant experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) and ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant).

Monitor plant parameters such as pH, TDS, COD, BOD, flow, chlorine, and chemical levels.

Operate pumps, blowers, dosing systems, filters, and other treatment equipment.

Carry out routine inspection and basic maintenance of plant equipment.

Maintain daily operation logs, readings, chemical consumption, and maintenance records.

Ensure proper chemical dosing and treatment processes.

Identify and report equipment/process abnormalities to the supervisor.

Follow safety,



environmental, and operational procedures.

Maintain cleanliness of the plant area.

Coordinate with maintenance and other teams when required.

Skills Required:

Basic knowledge of STP/ETP operations.

Ability to understand plant readings and equipment.

Basic troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge.

Valuable discipline and safety awareness.

Willingness to work in shifts.
