About the Role

GEMS Cambridge International School, Hoshiarpur is looking for a passionate, experienced, and dedicated PGT History to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom-management skills, and the ability to inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of history, society, culture, and global events.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging and effective History lessons for senior secondary students.
- Follow the prescribed curriculum and maintain high academic standards.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching resources, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
- Use cutting-edge and student-centric teaching methodologies to enhance learning.
- Prepare students effectively for board examinations and competitive academic requirements.
- Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records, lesson plans, and student progress reports.
- Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate academic support.
- Encourage critical thinking, research skills, analytical abilities,



and historical understanding among students.
- Integrate technology, multimedia, projects, discussions, and activities into classroom teaching.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Participate actively in school events, academic activities, workshops, meetings, and professional-development programmes.
- Coordinate with parents, colleagues, and school leadership regarding student progress and academic matters.
- Contribute to the overall academic and co-curricular development of students.
- Follow all school policies, academic guidelines, and professional standards.

Candidate Profile

- M.A. in History with B.Ed. (Mandatory).
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant teaching experience preferred.
- Strong command of History and excellent communication skills.
- Good knowledge of senior-secondary curriculum and assessment practices.
- Experience in CBSE/Cambridge/International school environments will be an advantage.
- Strong classroom-management and student-engagement skills.
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and technology.
- Passionate, sincere, disciplined, and committed to student development.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional academic team.
