Ecopmin Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Machine Development Application Engineer – Software to join our Engineering / Automation team in Chennai!
Experience: 2–8 Years
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement PLC, HMI, SCADA & Motion Control software for automated machines
- Develop machine sequences, state machines, alarms, interlocks & safety logic
- Integrate PLCs with Servo Drives, VFDs, Robots, Vision Systems & Field Devices
- Configure and troubleshoot PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA & IO-Link
- Develop HMI screens for machine operation, diagnostics & recipe management
- Perform Machine Simulation, Debugging, FAT, SAT & Commissioning
- Troubleshoot software, communication and control-system issues
- Optimize machine cycle time, reliability and performance
- Prepare I/O Lists, Alarm Lists, Functional Specifications & Operating Manuals
- Support machine upgrades, modifications and continuous improvement
- Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical & Application Engineering teams
- Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Machine Building / Special Purpose Machines (SPM)
- PLC Programming – Structured Text, Ladder Logic & Function Block Diagram
- HMI Development
- Machine Sequencing & State-Machine Programming
- Motion Control, Servo Systems & VFDs
- Industrial Networking & Communication Protocols
- Machine Debugging & Troubleshooting
- FAT / SAT / Machine Commissioning
- Safety PLC & Machine Safety Concepts
Preferred PLC / HMI PlatformsSiemens TIA Portal / WinCC | Beckhoff TwinCAT | Rockwell Studio 5000 | Mitsubishi GX Works | Omron Sysmac Studio | Schneider | B&R; | Bosch Rexroth | CODESYS Added Advantage QualificationB.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Computer Science or related engineering disciplines.
