About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and student-focused Academic Counselor to guide prospective students and their parents in choosing the right academic programs and career pathways. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and counseling skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to understand students' aspirations and recommend suitable programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding available courses, programs, eligibility, and career opportunities.
- Understand students' academic interests, goals, and career aspirations.
- Provide accurate information about courses, admissions procedures, fees, scholarships, and other relevant details.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, follow-ups, and student inquiries.
- Convert prospective student inquiries/leads into successful admissions.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective students through calls, WhatsApp, email, and other communication channels.
- Conduct counseling sessions individually or in groups, both online and offline.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, follow-ups, and admission status in the CRM.
- Achieve assigned counseling and admission targets.
- Coordinate with the academic, admissions, and operations teams to ensure a smooth student journey.
- Stay updated on courses, industry trends,



and career opportunities to provide effective guidance.
- Address student/parent concerns professionally and ensure a positive counseling experience.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a degree in Education, Psychology, Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in academic counseling, admissions, inside sales, student counseling, or a similar role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Good convincing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working with admission targets and performance metrics.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital communication platforms.
- Strong follow-up skills and a student-centric approach.
