- B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Experience in CCU/ICU/Critical Care is preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide secure, effective and compassionate nursing care to CCU patients.
- Assess patients on admission and continuously monitor their clinical condition.
- Monitor ECG, vital signs, SpO₂, blood pressure and other parameters as required.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products and other treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and manage patients receiving oxygen therapy and ventilatory support.
- Identify early signs of deterioration and immediately inform the treating physician.
- Assist doctors during emergency procedures and cardiac interventions.
- Maintain readiness of emergency drugs, equipment and crash cart.
- Perform and assist with ECG and other bedside investigations as required.
- Maintain accurate nursing records, medication charts, intake-output records and patient care documentation.
- Follow medication safety practices, including correct patient, drug, dose, route and time.
- Maintain infection prevention and control practices at all times.
- Educate patients and relatives regarding treatment, medication, procedures and basic cardiac care.
- Ensure proper handover of patient condition and ongoing treatment during shift changes.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Follow hospital policies, nursing protocols, clinical guidelines and NABH requirements.
- Participate in emergency drills, quality improvement activities, audits and nursing education programmes.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety and proper functioning of equipment in the assigned unit.
