As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. The engineer collaborates with different teams to maintain system stability and supports continuous improvement efforts to enhance overall system performance and reliability.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of system issues and minimize business impact.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices to foster skilled growth.
- Monitor system health and proactively identify potential risks to prevent disruptions.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions to build a comprehensive knowledge base for the team.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP BTP Datasphere.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
- Experience with system monitoring and incident management tools to track and address application performance.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and integration techniques relevant to enterprise applications.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
