About The Role

We are seeking a talented Engineer II Software Development to join our Pune Center of Excellence (COE). This role is primarily focused on backend development, involving the creation and maintenance of APIs, integrations, and core services that underpin our software solutions. As a Development Engineer II, you will be instrumental in designing scalable applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams including QA, product management, and senior engineering, to deliver high-quality features on schedule. Your role will involve hands-on coding, troubleshooting,



and refining software components to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will also contribute to technical documentation and participate in code reviews, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a forward-thinking organization, enabling you to enhance your technical expertise while working on impactful projects in the airline technology domain.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on backend technologies.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, XML, and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues efficiently.
- Experience with RESTful API development, integration, and service-oriented architecture.
- Nice to have: C++ programming skills and prior experience in the airline or aviation domain.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations using JavaScript, Node.js, XML, and TypeScript.
- Participate actively in code reviews to uphold coding standards and ensure maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with QA teams, product owners,



and senior engineers to ensure timely delivery of features and fixes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issues efficiently.
- Contribute to technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and best practices sharing.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve development processes and product quality.
- Support continuous integration and deployment processes to streamline software releases.
- Assist in mentoring junior team members and fostering a collaborative team environment.
