Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Wireless Consulting Engineer for a project supporting a large-scale bank network transformation initiative focused on modernizing wireless infrastructure across a broad portfolio of enterprise locations. This engineer will play a critical role in the design, deployment, migration, optimization, and support of enterprise wireless environments leveraging Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco 9800 Wireless Controllers, Software Defined Access (SDA), RF design, Ekahau wireless surveys, and wireless automation technologies. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader, mentor junior engineers, drive implementation activities, review technical deliverables, resolve highly complex wireless and networking issues, and act as a trusted advisor to customer and internal stakeholders. Candidates should be comfortable supporting large-scale multi-site network refresh projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in occasional night and weekend implementation windows - Lead delivery and execution of enterprise wireless deployment projects supporting Cisco's Project Helium initiative - Support the modernization of wireless infrastructure across enterprise and distributed customer locations - Work extensively with customers, Cisco account teams, architects, and partners on deployment strategy and optimization efforts - Create, review, and approve technical deliverables including HLDs, LLDs, design recommendations, RF designs, and implementation plans - Configure, deploy, optimize, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco 9800 Controllers, SDA, Fabric Enabled Wireless, and Fabric-in-a-Box solutions - Perform and review Ekahau predictive wireless surveys and AP placement designs - Support AP-on-a-Stick validation activities when required - Serve as a technical leader and escalation point for complex customer issues - Build and leverage test environments to validate solutions and resolve complex networking challenges - Direct and coordinate onsite technicians during implementation and deployment activities - Support migration efforts from legacy wireless environments to modern Cisco wireless architectures - Participate in change control, cutover planning, implementation validation, and post-deployment support - Mentor junior engineers and provide peer reviews of technical work products - Contribute to deployment methodologies, automation efforts, scripts, and reusable technical assets - Deliver customer documentation, knowledge transfers, and technical training - Track project activities and provide updates through Jira Ensure all technical deliverables align with customer business objectives, deployment standards, and project goals We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
