About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our agile team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, data processing, and cloud platforms, with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data solutions. As a Data Engineer at TCS, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and architectures that support our clients analytics and business intelligence needs. Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Candidates should have 6-10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with expertise in SQL, data warehousing,



and cloud data platforms. Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or DataStage is essential. Strong programming skills in Python for data processing and automation are required. Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, and Hive is a plus. Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL is necessary. Candidates should also have a good understanding of data governance, data quality, and data lineage principles. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. - Optimize SQL queries for performance tuning, ensuring efficient data retrieval and processing. - Implement data warehousing solutions using star schema, snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling techniques. - Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes utilizing tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or DataStage. - Automate data workflows and processing tasks using Python scripting. - Work with cloud data platforms like Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, and Databricks to build and deploy data solutions. - Collaborate with data scientists, analysts,



and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights. - Ensure data quality, data governance, and compliance standards are maintained throughout the data lifecycle. - Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure high availability and performance. - Stay updated with emerging data technologies and recommend best practices for data engineering solutions. - Document data architecture, workflows, and procedures for future reference and compliance audits.
