About Us
We are a fast-growing, profitable D2C food brand on a mission to make better-for-you food accessible to every Indian household.
Role Summary
We are looking for an HR Manager who will spend the majority of their time driving talent acquisition, while also owning core generalist HR responsibilities — onboarding, employee engagement, HR operations, and policy implementation — as the business scales. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys building processes from the ground up, is equally comfortable running a sourcing search as they are handling an employee query, and wants real influence over how our people function takes shape.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus — approx. 70% of role)
• Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage end-to-end recruitment cycles across functions and levels — from role scoping and job description creation to sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer closure.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Partner closely with hiring managers and function heads to understand role requirements, team dynamics, and must-have vs. nice-to-have criteria before kicking off a search.
• Sourcing & Pipeline Building: Build and maintain a strong, active pipeline through consultants, job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, and proactive sourcing (including Boolean/X-Ray search techniques), rather than relying solely on inbound applications.
• Candidate Experience: Own the candidate journey end-to-end — ensuring timely communication, a smooth interview experience, and strong employer branding at every touchpoint.
• Recruitment Metrics: Track and report on recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer-to-join ratios) and use data to continuously refine sourcing and screening approaches.
• Offer Management: Negotiate offers in line with internal compensation bands and market benchmarks, balancing speed of closure with cost-effectiveness.
Generalist HR (Secondary Focus — approx.
30% of role)
• Onboarding: Design and run a structured onboarding experience for recent hires, ensuring smooth transition into role and culture from day one.
• Policy & Compliance: Support the rollout of HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance requirements as the organization scales.
• HR Operations: Assist with core HR operations — documentation, HRIS/records management, attendance and leave tracking, and offer/appointment letter processing.
• Engagement: Support initiatives around employee engagement, feedback mechanisms, and culture-building activities appropriate to a scaling start-up.
• Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee queries relating to HR policies, benefits, and general workplace concerns.
What You'll Need
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Human Resources, with the majority of that time spent in talent acquisition or recruitment.
• Prior experience hiring for consumer brands, retail, e-commerce, or FMCG — you understand the pace and specific role types (D2C marketing, category management, supply chain, quick commerce) that come with this space.
• Strong hands-on sourcing skills with sourcing tools and techniques — job portals (Naukri, LinkedIn Recruiter), Boolean/X-Ray search, and referral-driven sourcing.
• Working knowledge across core generalist areas — onboarding, HR operations, policy implementation, and employee relations.
• Ability to manage multiple open roles and HR priorities simultaneously without dropping quality or momentum on any of them.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with hiring managers and employees across seniority levels.
• Strong data orientation and comfort working with recruitment and HR metrics.
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a bias for speed and action, comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities typical of a scaling start-up.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
