We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer with hands-on experience in the semiconductor domain and ATE (Automated Test Equipment). The ideal candidate should have experience in ATE test program development, silicon validation, device characterization, hardware debugging, and wafer/final testing.
Experience with Teradyne, Advantest, NI Cohu, and preferably V93K is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed test procedures based on device datasheets and project requirements.
- Develop, debug, and optimize ATE test programs for wafer sort and final/package testing.
- Perform first-silicon verification, device bring-up, debugging, and validation using ATE and bench equipment.
- Conduct device characterization across temperature, voltage, and process corners.
- Design and develop test hardware such as load boards, bench boards, qualification boards, and probe cards.
- Work closely with Design and DFT teams throughout the product development and testing lifecycle.
- Support the release of production-quality wafer and final test programs.
- Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, characterization, and root-cause analysis.
- Prepare test plans, execute test cases, document results, and generate technical reports.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to understand requirements and provide project updates.
- Ensure testing activities and project deliverables are completed within defined timelines and quality standards.
Required Skills
- 1.5–5 years of experience in semiconductor testing / product engineering / ATE testing.
- Hands-on experience with ATE platforms such as Teradyne, Advantest, or NI Cohu.
- Advanced knowledge of ATE testers; V93K experience is preferred.
- Strong fundamentals of electronics with knowledge of digital, analog, and mixed-signal concepts.
- Experience in board bring-up, hardware debugging, and silicon validation.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, JTAG, and CAN.
- Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout review, and design validation.
- Hands-on experience with bench equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
- Programming knowledge in C++, C#, .NET, or VB.
- Knowledge of RF fundamentals and RF testing is an added advantage.
- Experience testing/characterizing devices such as PLL, PMIC, LDO, and RF transceiver devices is preferred.
- Knowledge of RF parameters including Gain, Noise Figure, Harmonics, Isolation, and S-Parameters.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Positive communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
