Role Overview
We are seeking a energetic and result-oriented Business Development professional with experience in the
Logistics, Freight Forwarding, and Transportation industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong
knowledge of Import & Export operations, Cargo Handling, Freight Services, and Supply Chain solutions.
The candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing client
relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
• Identify and acquire new clients for logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, and cargo
services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers, and traders.
• Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research.
• Promote Air Freight, Sea Freight, Road Transportation, Customs Clearance, and Warehousing
services.
• Understand customer requirements and provide customized logistics solutions.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close business deals.




• Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and business opportunities.

Required Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related
field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Business Development within the Logistics, Freight
Forwarding, Transportation, Shipping, or Import-Export industry.

Strong Understanding of:
• Import & Export Processes
• Air & Sea Freight Operations
• Cargo Movement & Transportation
• Freight Forwarding
• Customs Clearance Procedures
• Supply Chain & Logistics Solutions
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong client acquisition and relationship management abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile
• Existing network of importers, exporters, manufacturers, and logistics clients.
• Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
• Strong commercial and market understanding of the Ahmedabad and Gujarat region.
• Experience in freight forwarding companies, shipping lines, logistics service providers, or
transportation companies will be preferred.
