Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP Solution Architect to lead the architecture and end-to-end implementation of a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA transformation program for a leading Pharmaceutical organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP S/4HANA solution architecture, cross-functional integration, SAP Activate, Fit-to-Standard, Clean Core principles, and large-scale ERP transformations. Experience in Pharma / Life Sciences or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is mandatory/preferred based on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and lead the end-to-end SAP S/4HANA solution architecture for a Greenfield implementation.

- Define and govern solution, application, integration, data, and technology architecture.

- Lead solution blueprinting, architecture workshops, Fit-to-Standard assessments, and design decisions.

- Drive SAP Activate, SAP Best Practices, Clean Core, and Fit-to-Standard principles throughout the implementation.

- Provide cross-functional architectural guidance across:

- FI/CO

- MM

- SD

- PP

- QM

- WM/EWM

- PM/EAM

- Supply Chain

- PS

- HCM/SuccessFactors

- Define SAP integration architecture with MES, LIMS, WMS, QMS, CRM, PLM, Banking, Tax, and Data Platforms.

- Provide architectural direction for SAP BTP, Integration Suite, APIs, IDocs, OData,



and event-driven integrations.

- Lead data migration, master data, and data governance architecture.

- Govern Fiori applications, ABAP developments, workflows, reports, interfaces, extensions, and custom developments in line with Clean Core principles.

- Establish and manage Architecture Governance, Design Authority, and Architecture Review Board processes.

- Ensure architecture aligns with security, authorization, SoD, compliance, audit, and non-functional requirements.

- Collaborate with System Integrators, implementation partners, business stakeholders, and internal SAP CoE teams.

- Support SIT/UAT, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and stabilization activities.

- Ensure the solution architecture meets the specific requirements of a regulated pharmaceutical setting.

Mandatory Requirements

- 10+ years of overall SAP experience.

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Solution Architecture.

- Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP implementations.

- At least 1 Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation – Mandatory.

- Strong knowledge of SAP Activate, SAP Best Practices, Fit-to-Standard, and Clean Core.

- Strong cross-functional understanding and integration expertise across SAP modules.

- Experience with SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Fiori, APIs, IDocs, and OData.

- Strong experience in data migration and master data architecture.





- Understanding of SAP security, authorization, reporting, analytics, and compliance requirements.

- Experience working with System Integrators / SAP Implementation Partners.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, architecture governance, and workshop facilitation skills.

- Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences / Biologics / Medical Devices / Regulated Manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

Pharma / Regulatory Domain Expertise

Candidates with experience in Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences SAP implementations will be strongly preferred.

Exposure to the following regulatory and compliance areas will be an added advantage:

- GxP

- 21 CFR Part 11

- EU Annex 11

- Data Integrity

- Computer System Validation (CSV)

- Audit and compliance requirements within regulated manufacturing environments

- Pharma manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and validation processes

Good to Have

- Experience with RISE with SAP.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud – Private Edition.

- SAP CoE / Enterprise Architecture experience.

- Global Template implementation experience.

- Multi-site / Multi-country SAP transformation experience.

- Large-scale ERP transformation experience within Pharma / Life Sciences.

- Experience managing architecture across global implementation programs.
